It is with great sadness that the family of Terrance Medicine announces his passing on Friday, April 3, 2020 at LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
He was born on September 17, 1990 in Fort Frances. He was raised in Big Island First Nation with Marian and Myers.
He loved to help his parents, go fishing and spending time with his friends. He graduated from high school and attended college taking culinary courses. He was the oldest of his siblings.
He leaves behind his parents Michael Cobiness and Sylvia Medicine (Morris Shapwaykeesic); grandmothers Marian Medicine and Joanne Cobiness (Robert Handorgan); siblings Cheyenne Medicine, Toshia Medicine, Conan-lee Medicine (Brittany Archie), Nathan Medicine and Shawn Medicine; uncles Myron Medicine, Darrell Medicine, Arnold Medicine, Dave Medicine Jr., Fabian Kingbird, Arlan Kingbird and William Handorgan (Raven Tuesday); aunts Diane Cobiness (Brian Silva), Dolores Cobiness (Dailen Tuesday), Candace Handorgan (Robert Desjarlais), Roxanne Handorgan (Sean Comegan), Glendoris Medicine and Mary Big George (Darrell Archie); as well as numerous cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers Dave Medicine and Myers Handorgan.
A traditional wake and service was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing Round House.
The pallbearers were Joshua Trendiak, William Handorgan, Myron Medicine, Darrell Medicine, Dailen Tuesday, Robert Desjarlais, Nathan Medicine, Sean Comegan and Theron Indian.
