It is with deep sadness the family of Sue Hall, announces her passing on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Sue passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Sue was 56 years old and was born on Nov. 1, 1962.
She loved life, especially the simpler things. Sue loved walks, beautiful weather and treasured her friends, pets, cabin and her home.
Her greatest joy was her family and she truly cherished the time she spent with them.
Spending as much time at her cabin as possible was a must for Sue. She often referred to it as “God's country” and was truly at her most relaxed and free from all of the other stresses of life while there.
Sue loved decorating and working to make her home and cabin as comfortable and welcoming for anyone as possible. She was always accommodating to every visitor and was intuitive to their needs, often even before they knew it themselves.
Sue loved interior design and her creativity shows in every nook and cranny in the beautiful home she built with her husband of 28 years.
Sue always gave 100 percent to everything she did in her life. She never hesitated to get down in the trenches if it meant getting the job done.
A dedicated 30-year employee of Atikokan General Hospital, Sue was a true team player in all of the positions she held. Starting first in dietary, moving to housekeeping and then with her true passion of helping people as a Recreation Therapist.
Sue took much pride in the work she did and held a special place in her heart for all of the many residents of extended care at that time.
Strong willed and determined, Sue battled cancer with fierce determination and strength but was ultimately unsuccessful.
Sue was predeceased by her mother, Ruby McEvoy; father, Tom McEvoy; and brother, Tim McEvoy; father-in-law, Ernest (Jack) Hall; and mother-in-law, Margaret Hall.
She leaves her loving husband, Gerry Hall; her daughter, Ruby Hall; and her soon to be son-in-law, Josh Kanto.
Internment is to take place in a private ceremony at a date to be determined.
