SADIE ALEXANDRA LUCZYK (GULKA)

Luczyk, Sadie

In loving memory of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie and friend who passed away on Friday, Feb. 21 peacefully.
Sadie was an extraordinary beautiful person inside and out, who cared deeply about people – especially her family.
Married to Alex who predeceased her in 2016, they both showed us how to sing, dance, cook and keep our Ukrainian culture. She loved animals too, which were always a part of our family life.
Sadie’s hospitality was widely known. Her food, desserts and decorations were done like an artist and the comfort of her home always made you feel safe and welcome.
A lover of nature, she developed such beautiful flower gardens that people would stop to admire them while driving by.
Sadie was also predeceased by son Richard (Rick); and her brothers Stanley, Steve; and sister Sophie. She will be missed dearly by her sons Greg, Don (Eija); and daughter Jo-Ann. She was loved deeply by many surviving grand children, great-grand children and nieces and nephews.
A faithful member of the Fort Frances congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Sadie looked forward to God’s promise of a new system where pain, sorrow, and death will be no more (Revelation 21: 3,4)
Sadie… a name that means “princess”.
Alexandra… “defender of mankind”
That’s who she was and that’s how she will be remembered.
A woman like no other. We will miss you dearly.
A memorial service and interment will follow at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Northridge Funeral Home, Emo, Ontario.
