Olga (Baba) Shaw, 67, of Thunder Bay, Ont., passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 2, 1998.
Born Olga Tkachuk on Aug. 12, 1931 in Gardenton, Man., she shared her laughter and her life for many years in Fort Frances, Ont. before moving to Thunder Bay, where she continued to be such a symbol of strength and determination for all of us.
Olga was our spirit guide. She knew life, she experienced life, she shared in our lives. She was our spirit guide daily and for our futures through her card reading.
She was predeceased by all of her beautiful children, Nicki, Russell, and Patti; as well as her parents, Nicholas and Lena Tkachuk.
Olga is survived by the light of her life, her grandson, Ryan Shaw; her brother, Lawrence, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Tkachuk, of Fort Frances; nephew, Bobby Tkachuk; and Uncle Alex and Aunt Doreen Tkachuk of Vancouver, B.C.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998 at 7 p.m. at Westminster United Church, 650 River St., Thunder Bay, Ont.
