It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Esther Halverson on Jan. 11, 2020 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.

She was predeceased by her husband, Selmer; mother, Violet Gustafson; and daughter Carolyn. She is survived by daughters June, Alvina, Phyllis; son Ben; numerous grand children and great grandchildren.

Mom was born Oct. 8,1932 in Edmonton, AB. She grew up in Bergland, ON with many cousins and created many cherished memories that she often spoke of.

Earlier on her interest into photography grew and today we are left with wonderful photos for our families to treasure.

In 1950 Esther married her life long partner Selmer and life became very busy for mom raising 5 children.

In 1966 the family moved to the area surrounding Dryden where the door was always open and mom would have a pot of coffee perking for anyone who came for a visit.

One of moms favourite pastimes was to drive on back country roads with dad, Phyllis, and Carolyn. She regularly made lunches and a thermos full of coffee for the adventure.

Our mother was a kind, caring and patient person, she will be deeply missed. Esther will be put to rest at a later date at Bergland Cemetery.

Forever in our hearts. Love your family

Those we love,

don't go away,

they walk beside us everyday,

unseen, unheard, but always near,

still loved , still missed,

and very dear.
