Bud was born on Feb. 16, 1929, in Fort Frances, Ont. to Charles and Cicely McWatt.

Starting as a youngster and into his married life, Bud was active with the Fort Frances Town Band. He took great pride in playing the Last Post to honour those that had passed.

Bud served in the Royal Canadian Artillery from 1943 to 1946 and was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion since he joined at 18.

Bud worked for the LCBO in Fort Frances and was transferred to Glencoe in 1962.

As a field auditor, he moved to Waterloo Region in 1977 until his retirement on August 31, 1988.

Most recently, Bud resided in Cambridge at Heritage Meadows and Fairview Mennonite Home.

Bud had a passion for woodworking, which benefited everyone he knew, especially his family.

Children, grandchildren and many friends all have something he made, from a playing-card holder to full kitchen cupboards and bedroom furniture.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Charles with his family during a visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10-10:45 a.m.
