The Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances will be hosting its annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday, Sept. 16!
It will start with warm-ups at the Sorting Gap—led by Energy Fitness—at 1:45 p.m., with the run/walk/wheel getting underway at 2 p.m.
There will be mile markers, pace bunnies, porta-potties, water stations, and an escort car—all features to help everyone enjoy the event, as well as to be safe and comfortable.
Don’t forget to drop by the church building on Victoria Avenue (beside the railroad tracks) afterwards. The T.O.P.S. group from Devlin will be putting on a lunch, and trophies also will be awarded for the top male, female and child fundraisers.
Pledge sheets are available at the church and at local banks.
As well, T-shirts will be sold this Saturday (Sept. 8) at Safeway and Canadian Tire, as well as at the church and at the Sorting Gap on the day of the event. They cost $15 for children’s sizes and $17 for adults.
Keep your eyes open for the posters and lawn signs that will be out around town! Spread the word! Get a friend or two to come out with you!
There will be lots of fun, lots of goodies, lots of food, lots of friends, and lots of good feelings for being involved in something that benefits our district communities and our global family!
This will be the church’s third year to organize and host this great effort! So many people put their efforts into this–many thanks!
For more information, call Jane (274-2930), Cheryle (274-7074), or David (482-2540).
Hope to see you there!
