Sight & Sound Wolves avenged an earlier loss to the Windey’s Warriors during the East Division playoffs.
During the teams’ first meeting the Warriors vaulted past the Wolves by limiting the team offence to a single run, as the final score was 6-1.
This time around on Tuesday night the bats came alive as Aaron Caul led the way for the Wolves hitting two home runs, eliminating the Warriors from the playoffs and advancing to the East Division final with a 9-5 victory.
“Johnny D” was a steady arm for the Wolves earning himself the win while Robin McGinnis had to settle for the loss.
Next up for the Wolves is a date with Fort Frances Braves.
The top two seeded teams will meet this evening as the Wolves season will be on the line and facing possible elimination.
If the Wolves can force a second game the teams will meet again on Aug. 20.
In the West Division semi-final, the Stratton and Sabaskong Lakers game ended as a draw. The game was called and forced to stop due to darkness with a 1-1 score.
A new game between the two sides has been rescheduled for tonight.
Barwick, the top seed in the west, awaits the winner of the makeup game for a possible two-game West Division final.
