RRFN outing

Photo Album:

Kathy Bombay left, elder Dorothy Medicine, Verna Leonard, Reta Johnson, and Art Hunter gathered around a sacred fire where tobacco offerings were placed during Rainy River First Nation's (RRFN) reparation and reburial of sacred objects and ancestors on Friday. Up to 100 ancestors and roughly 5,000 artifacts were brought back to the RRFN for the reburial and creation of a new burial mound. Photos were not taken of the new mound or ancestors out of respect for Anishinaabe culture.
