Lori Flinders, director of Nanaadawewinan at Weechi-it-te-win Family Services, unveiled a portrait of long-time WFS executive director George Simard, as well as portraits of co-founders Moses Tom and Joseph Big George, during a banquet last Wednesday at La Place Rendez-Vous. The portraits were painted by Atikokan artist Linda Fogg. The dinner coincided with a provincial native child welfare conference which ran here last Tuesday through Thursday. See stories A5.
