Historical fun

Photo Album:

Inspired by tales of fur traders and explorers who came to this area long ago, as well as old photos and artifacts, Kaitlyn Baldwin, left, and her cousin, Cody Veitch, made personalized diaries yesterday during museum activities at the Legion Park. As part of a continuing series of summer workshops, museum curator Pam Hawley had children explore the west end of town to discover where the falls are, discover heritage plaques, and where early trading companies put the “fort” in Fort Frances. The museum will be doing crafts at the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship site next week. —Duane Hicks photo
