Miller Environmental Corp. employees and town staff sorted through hazardous waste at the Public Works yard on Saturday during the town’s yearly Hazardous and Special Waste Day. Propane tanks, aerosol cans, batteries, paint cans, and other hazardous items were brought to the Public Works yard to be disposed of appropriately. Improper disposal of hazardous waste negatively effects the local watershed and causes water pollution.
