Carole Ann Myers’ enjoyment was a unique sight for the Fort Frances Voyageurs Lions Club’s annual “Polar Plunge” which took place on New Year’s Day on Sand Bay behind La Place Rendez-Vous. Myers, who lives in B.C. and was visiting Fort Frances for the holidays, later told the Times she enjoys cold water and swims in the ocean every day when she is home. She was one of 27 “plungers” who raised a total of $9,665 for the Lions Club and other non-profit organizations.
