Margaret Schonewille, executive director of the local Alzheimer Society, accepted a pound of pennies from Al Robertson on Saturday morning during the annual “Penny for Your Thoughts” weigh-in at Canadian Tire. The fundraiser ran Friday and Saturday, seeing a total of 426 pounds donated—more than double last year’s total of 181 pounds.
