Acting out “Las Posadas,” a traditional Mexican candle-lit procession symbolically commemorating the cold and difficult journey of Mary and Joseph from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of shelter, Fr. Wayne McIntosh, dressed as Joseph, led a group of children and adults, as well as “Bessie” the donkey, around the downtown area to search for a room at a local “inn” on Friday evening. After being turned away everywhere they went, the group finally found shelter at St. John’s Anglican Church, where they warmed up and enjoyed refreshments.
