Rainy River District OPP officers responded to a call for assistance at a residence in the Lakeview Trailer Park yesterday morning.
When they arrived, they found two deceased people in the residence.
Their identities are not being released at this time pending positive identification and notification of next-of-kin.
Late yesterday afternoon, members of the OPP Emergency Response Team arrested one male in relation to this ongoing investigation.
Criminal charges are pending.
Members of the Rainy River District OPP, along with the OPP's North West Region Crime Unit and the OPP's Forensic Identification Unit from Kenora, continue to investigate this incident under the direction of Det. Insp. Randy Heida of the OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch.
A tip line also has been established and police are asking anyone with any information regarding this incident to call 1-844-677-5040.
The OPP would like to thank the residents of the Lakeview Trailer Park for their co-operation while this investigation continued throughout the day.
The OPP had asked the public to refrain from attending the trailer park and surrounding area for much of the day yesterday.
Residents have since been allowed to return to their homes.
