Two male drivers were charged with impaired driving offences Saturday.
The Rainy River District OPP was advised of a traffic complainant in the west end of Fort Frances on Saturday morning.
Officers located the vehicle on the 900 block of King’s Highway.
A 33-year-old Big Grassy First Nation man was arrested at the scene after failing the roadside test and taken to the OPP detachment for breath tests.
He subsequently was charged with having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
Then while conducting a R.I.D.E. check that evening on the 1200 block of Colonization Road East in Fort Frances, a 43-year-old of Stratford, Ont. man failed a roadside test.
He also was arrested at the scene and taken to the OPP detachment for tests.
He subsequently was charged with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
In both instances, the vehicles were impounded for a minimum of seven days and both men issued a mandatory 90-day driver’s licence suspension.
Both are scheduled to appear in court here at a later date.
