Yesterday around 1:50 a.m., the Greenstone OPP detachment received a report of a stabbing on the First Nation Territory of Long Lake 58.
Police attended a residence to find a male with multiple stab wounds to his hands and torso.
The victim was transported to hospital to be treated for his wounds.
He was being flown to Thunder Bay for further evaluation.
An investigation revealed the victim had been involved in an altercation with another person at a local residence.
A person of interest was located in the near vicinity on foot and subsequently arrested.
Police have charged an 18-year-old Long Lake 58 First Nation resident with aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm.
The accused was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
