Rainy River District OPP officers conducted a R.I.D.E check on Highway 71 in Chapple township on Friday evening.
Officers checked more than 300 vehicles for impaired drivers, as well as Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Act infractions.
A total of nine young persons were charged under the Liquor Licence Act and a large quantity of alcohol seized.
The public is reminded that possession of alcohol under the age of 19 is illegal, and subject to a fine and seizure of the alcohol.
