Nikita acheives the highest standing for rally obedience

Nikita (Bernese Mountain Dog) finished #1 as Bernese Mountain Dog in Canada, for Rally Obedience. This was the second year in a row Nikita took this honour. She also finished in the number five spot for the “working group.” Nikita needs one more score and she will have her Masters Level. Sue Jones is the proud and dedicated owner of Nikita. Congratulations to you both on this high achievement.

Last week our district was struck with the tragedy and grief in the passing of Jean Steele in an automobile accident. This lady has left a hole in the hearts and souls of her large number of family members and friends. Jean always “a smile" always there for her family. People still remember her and Betty Kellar for their strong friendship, they were definitely "Besties." May all cherish her as the "unique person” she definitely was on this earth.

Cindy Westover, who was also involved in this accident, has undergone surgery in Thunder Bay. Our community sends prayers and wishes for a full recovery.

Also sympathy to the friends and family of Jan Hyatt. I will miss her smiling face on Sunday mornings at Mass.

Barry Hartley has recently passed away. Thoughts of sympathy and prayers also to this family.

Our rural community has endured many deaths in the New Year. Let's all find comfort in knowing we are close knit and feel the sadness of the families enduring loss. Jan. 31 is a PA Day for all students in the RR District.

Robin's 2¢

You know it's a cold day when your teeth start chattering... and they're still on the nightstand.
