On Saturday around 6:20 p.m., the Nipigon OPP responded to a report of a male who was fatally injured in an all-terrain vehicle collision that occurred on a bush road east of the Little Sturge Lake.
The driver of the ATV was travelling on the bush road when he met another motor vehicle on a corner.
The man then lost control, causing the ATV to leave the roadway and roll—fatally injuring him.
OPP officers, along with Superior North Emergency Medical Services, attended the scene, where the driver was found to be unresponsive.
He then was transported to the Nipigon Memorial Hospita, where the 33-year-old from Marathon was pronounced deceased.
There is no evidence of impairment, and the driver was wearing the required safety equipment for the operation of an ATV.
