Final Festival vocal results

The Rainy River District Festival of the Performing Arts wrapped up its Vocal division Friday, adjudicated by Sarah Hall, an adjunct professor of music at Brandon University in Manitoba.

More than a dozen performers also took in an informal workshop she hosted Friday evening.

The Festival will continue with the Drama division, which gets underway tomorrow and runs through Thursday, followed by Piano (April 18-22) and Instrumental (April 21-22).

  • Sight Singing and Aural Skills Test, Grade 8—1. Anna Schwartz (First-Class Honours) 2. Anne Jean (Honours)
  • Solo, Contemporary Folk/Popular music, 12 years and under—1. Joelle Bruyere (First-Class Honours) 2. Christian Wiedenhoeft (Honours)

Marks of 90 or above are awarded a First-Class Honours standing; marks of 85-89 are awarded an Honours standing.
