Drugs seized

Three people face drug-related charges after the Fort Frances OPP stopped a vehicle on the 600 block of King’s Highway during the early hours of this morning.
During the stop, police said it was determined an occupant of the vehicle was breaking a condition of his probation order and then was found with cocaine on his person.
A short foot chase ensued before the man was apprehended, police added.
A warrant subsequently was executed and a quantity of drugs was seized.
A 27-year-old man was charged with three counts of trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and production of a controlled substance, as well as two counts of breach of probation.
He was held in custody, police noted.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Fort Frances woman was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Another woman, 25, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession for the trafficking, and trafficking in a controlled substance.
Both women will appear in court May 22, police said.
