Due to the COVID-19 virus, the Emo Walleye Classic has been cancelled for 2020. This was a hard decision for for the organization to make but the welfare and safety of the community is more important. The organizers would like to thank all the teams that had already signed up.
Here's hoping this poplar, fun-filled event will be even bigger next year. With everyone realizing how much it was missed in 2020
The Fort Frances Canadian Tire has also made the decision to close its doors. However shopping online is still available to consumers, and curbside pick-up has been added.
Well it's a difficult time to find news for my column. So I phoned up my dear friend Rosella Galbraith. She will be ninety nine this December. I asked her how she was doing with this COVID virus situation
In her always cheery voice, she replied, “I'm in my house and staying here.” Rosella has never lived through anything like this.
She said, “I'm taking it in my stride.”
Fortunately Rosella is well looked after by Velina and Steve (daughter and son in law) who live with her. It was a treat (as always) to talk to this vibrant women!
My five year old granddaughter Emmilou has warned her brother Harlan “You can't share the beaters (with cookie dough on them) because you'll get Horrid 19.”
I'd like to wish you all a happy Easter. Yes, it will be a different and difficult one for many. We will definitely be missing many traditions.
However, I'm hoping we can all make the best of it and find things to celebrate this occasion.

“I don't believe you,” says Dolly.
“It's true," insists Daisy. "No bull.”
