The Fort Frances Legion Ladies Auxiliary to Br. #29 met on Sept 11, 2019 with 32 members in attendance.
The meeting was brought to order by president Alfreda Easton.
There were no new membership applications presented for approval.
The August birthday draw was won by Carolyn Olive, with cards to Christina McDougall and Donna McKelvie.
The September birthday draw winner was Alfreda Easton.
The 50/50 draw won by Diane Taggart (lottery license M832107).
Upcoming events include the honours and awards presentations on Saturday, Sept 21. at 1 p.m. at the Legion hall.

The monthly supper (roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy veggies, buns, salad and homemade pies/desserts, coffee/tea) will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Legion hall.
Dinner at 5:30 p.m. (doors open at 4:30). Cost is $16 per plate.
The Remembrance Day tea will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Legion. Cost is $5 adults; $2 for children under seven.
And on Feb. 29, 2020, our “PJs & Pearls Gala” (women only) will be held. Advance tickets $60; after Feb 1. 2020, they cost $70.

Rainycrest bingo will run on Sept. 18-19 at 6:30 p.m. Toonie prizes and loonie good neighbour.
Bursaries went to Fort Frances High School 2018/19 graduates Zack McDougall, Hannah DeGagne, Corbin Grynot and Macey Weir.

Ticket sellers are needed to sell 50/50 tickets for the Remembrance Day draw (lottery license M832107) at Walmart on Oct. 11-12, 18-19 and Nov 1-2 and 8-9.

he next regular auxiliary meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019.
There will be a potluck supper at 6 p.m. with meeting to follow upstairs in the Legion hall.
Cook up your favourite dish and come out for a delicious supper.
