Stock car racing goes Saturday, June 23 at the Emo Speedway, with hot laps at 7 p.m. and the first heat at 7:30 (weather permitting). Admission is $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors (those nine and under are free).
Zion Lutheran Church is celebrating its 100th anniversary on Sunday, June 24, starting with a service at 10:30 a.m. and followed by a barbecued lunch. There also will be a video and picture display, kids’ games, and a tree planting. All are welcome to attend.

Riverside Health Care will hold its next open board meeting on Thursday, June 28 at 6 p.m. in the boardroom at La Verendrye Hospital.
The annual “Teddy Bear Picnic” will be held Friday, June 29 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. There also will be fun booths, a bouncy castle, barrel train, a craft and music tent, and, of course, a doctor booth with Dr. Elaine. Admission is $5, with hotdogs costing $2 each.
Dawnn Taylor’s dog obedience classes begin Tuesday, July 3 and run for six weeks starting at 6 p.m. The fee is $60, with sessions to be conducted on the green space across from the Fort Frances Curling Club parking lot.
