Weeza’s Gifts in Emo, under owner Vanessa Hebert (nee Mitchell), held its grand opening Saturday.
There is plenty of gifts to choose from among the items stocking the shelves there, whether it be for birthdays, anniversaries, Easter, Christmas, and many more occasions.
The supply also includes decorations of different kinds as well as nature lamps, crafts, and other necessities to decorate your home. There certainly is something for everyone.
Throughout the day, customers dropped by from as far away as Fort Frances and surrounding communities to not only to browse around but actually purchase various items.
“Considering the two-hour hydro outage, customers came and business was not that bad,” noted Hebert, the daughter of Phil and Karen Mitchell of Emo, adding there was enough outside light coming through to accommodate them.
“It was just a perfect day. I could not ask for anything better,” she remarked.
Draw prize winners included June Wheatley, Adelia Guba, Amanda Vennechenko, Fran O’Connell, and Gail Saunders (candles), and Loraine Bullied (picture frame).
The Lazy Susan door prize was won by Amanda Vennechenko.
With the grand opening behind her, Hebert now is looking forward to Spring Fever Days on April 19-21. “At that time I will have a few more items,” she said.
