“Country Meet City,” this year's musical revue presented by Fort Frances High School, runs again today and tomorrow (Nov. 17-18) at 7 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for students/seniors, which are available at Northwoods Gallery & Gifts and the door.

The Fort Frances Lakers will host the Minnesota Iron Rangers in SIJHL action today (Nov. 10) at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena. A Remembrance Day ceremony will be held prior to the game. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students aged 13-17, and $5 for kids aged five-12 (those under five are admitted free).

In conjunction with “Fire Prevention Week," the Chapple, Emo, La Vallee, and Alberton Fire & Emergency Service will be at Cloverleaf Grocery in Emo on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. with multiple fire trucks and equipment. There also will be fire safety info, a draw for a fire safety prize, and "Sparky the Fire Dog.”
