CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS/TENDER
for the position of
ELECTORAL OFFICER
Big Grassy First Nation #35G, located near Morson, Ontario in the
Rainy River District is approaching the bi-annual elections for Chief
and Council in the fi rst week of January 2021.
Th erefore; Th e First Nation is conducting an open search for a
qualifi ed Electoral Offi cer to conduct, and/or, oversee the election
activities in coordination with the First Nation Membership
Administrator to ensure a lawfully compliant process for the on and
off -reserve electorate.
Th e task involves conducting elections in accordance with the
standard Indians Aff airs election process. Th e Big Grassy First
Nation has not opted out of this process as yet. Concurrent with the
Leadership Election there will also entail a second process to elect
3 candidates as “Trustees” to oversee the 2 Trusts (Kiitakiinaan and
Ah-shoo-gun).
Interested applicants are requested to provide a current resume and
a costing sheet for all phases of the process, including: Electoral
Offi cer Fee, offi ce expenses, wages salaries for auxiliary personnel
(preferably from the First Nation), vehicle expenses and any
ancillary expenses.

Tenders are requested for the Operation of the Town of Fort Frances
Landfi ll Site.

scale, burning of segregated wood waste, maintenance of access
roads, control litter, covering waste at regular intervals and maintain
stockpiles of recyclables, steel and tires.

Lowest or any Tender not necessarily accepted. The Town reserves the

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Clinical Services Coordinator is a full-time clinical support and
administrative position. Supervision is provided by the Director of
Nanaandawewenin. The Clinical Services Coordinator will work within
a culturally competent system of care and as such will acknowledge
and incorporate, at all levels, the importance of culture, the expansion
of cultural knowledge, and the overall vision of Weechi-it-te-win Family
Services.
The Clinical Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all
psychological services provided by Weechi-it-te-win Family Services.
This position is also instrumental in assisting First Nation Community
Care Programs with capacity building for their family counselor.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Clinical Services Coordinator reports to the Director of
Nanaandawewenin.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. An understanding and appreciation of Anishinaabe cultural beliefs,
values, norms, ceremony, teachings and a commitment to continue
learning, participating and advocating during any opportunity
provided by the Agency or Community;
2. A Bachelor of Arts, or Social Work Degree from an accredited
university;
3. Registration as a social worker or related designation;
4. Thorough knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act;
5. Thorough knowledge of the Rainy Lake Community Care Program
and Weechi-it-te-win service delivery system, and the policy and
procedures set by the WFS Board of Directors;
6. A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in the provision of clinical
services for children and family members;
7. A minimum of 2 years experience in the coordination of human or
social service program;
8. Experience in assessing client and family problems and needs, and
in preparing clinical assessment reports and social histories;
9. Knowledge and experience in traditional and contemporary
counseling practices, and experience in working with both male
and female traditional elders;
10. Experience and commitment to the development of alternative,
non-punitive, culturally appropriate practices that evolve from First
Nation thought form and developed by First Nation customary
rights and duty to maintain and preserve cultural expression;
11. Experience in the identifi cation of training needs and requirements;
12. Experience in reviewing and planning clinical services in the
context of a child and family services program;
13. Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive narratives and
statistical reports on clinical services;
14. Demonstrated ability to develop policy and prepare funding
applications or proposals;
15. Ability to speak Ojibwe is preferred;
16. Knowledge of the administrative structure and operations of
Weechi-it-te-win Family Services, First Nation family structure, and
the values, beliefs, customs and traditional cultural practices of
Rainy Lake First Nation communities;
17. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel
18. Must submit a current criminal reference check dated within the
past 12 months.
CLASSIFICATION
The salary range that applies to qualifi ed candidates is from $50,830.00
to $63,480.00.

The Tele-Mental Health Administrative Assistant (TMHAA) is a parttime,

The Tele-Mental Health Administrative Assistant shall be
knowledgeable about the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) and its
equipment –how to set up, trouble shoot problems, multiple site usage,
and ensure effi cient pathways between sites and hubs.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Tele-Mental Health Administrative Assistant reports to the Tele
Mental Health Services Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS

2. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent and

4. Minimum of 2 years experience in general offi ce administration and
procedures.
5. An ability to establish/maintain a fi ling system for clientele.
6. A demonstrating knowledge of English spelling, grammar, and
composition.
7. Some experience in working with children/youth would be preferred.
8. The ability to speak Ojibwe is an asset.
9. Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License and provide a driver’s
abstract.
10. Must submit a satisfactory vulnerable sector check as a condition of
employment.
11. Must adhere to the highest level of confi dentiality.
