Traditional Healing Coordinator
(Male) (1) Full Time Position
Summary of Position:
The Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre is currently accepting
applications for one Traditional Healing Coordinator. We are seeking
one male to fill the position. The Traditional Healing Coordinator reports
to the Program Manager. As part of the Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access
Centre team, the Traditional Healing Coordinator is responsible for the
coordination of traditional healing clinics and ceremonies, the delivery of
cultural activities and sessions, as well as the provision of education and
promotion of traditional Ojibway culture and language.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in traditional medicines and

traditional and cultural teachings/ceremonies

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • College diploma or certification in a health or social services field an


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in program delivery and coordination
  • Fluency in speaking and understanding the Ojibway language


  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a good rapport with local area Elders and Traditional


  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment of health

and social service providers

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
