Railway safety was top of mind at Fort Frances' council meeting last night.

The town passed a Consideration of Resolution respecting Railway Traffic, that states the impact trains have on municipalities, brief history of six derailments since 2013, the recent Emo derailment's effect, community concerns, and railway taxation.

Nater re-introduces bill to end youth exploitation

Ottawa, ON - Today, John Nater, Member of Parliament for Perth—Wellington, introduced Bill C-219 An Act to amend the Criminal Code (sexual exploitation) in the House of Commons. The bill, originally introduced in the previous Parliament as Bill C-424, will better protect young people and Canadians living with disabilities from sexual exploitation.

PLANE CRASH AT DRYDEN REGIONAL AIRPORT

(DRYDEN, ON) - On Monday Feb. 24, 2020 at approximately 4:14 p.m. members of the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an airplane crash at the Dryden Regional Airport.

Dryden officers were assisted by the Dryden Fire Department (DFD) and North West Emergency Medical Service (EMS).

Muskie courts win three NorWOSSA titles

Talk about a great finish to the NorWOSSA season for the Muskie court sports teams.

Three of the four squads were able to claim NorWOSSA gold in their respective finals yesterday at Fort High.
