Help your kids to be resilient

Resiliency is described as a combination of skills and positive attributes that people gain from their life experiences and relationships.

These attributes help them solve problems, cope with challenges, and bounce back from disappointments.

Parents can help their children develop attributes that enable them to be resilient and that will help them throughout their lives.

Kids have stress, too

All children, even very young children, experience stress. All children also benefit from an increased ability to deal with stress and can learn ways to do this.

Research shows that up to 90 percent of illnesses are related to stress.

Having too much stress can make it more difficult for children to concentrate, to learn, and to get along with others.
