Country club ‘tours’ Ireland

What better day to take a tour of Ireland than March 17—St. Patrick’s Day!

That’s what members of the Emo Country Club thought as their prepared for another “trip” to a far-off destination.

More than 35 club members were entertained last Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. in the common room of the Golden Age Manor by Neil Grant and Mac Fischer.

Shamrock tea, bake sale a hit

The Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary’s Shamrock tea and bake sale on Friday afternoon was well-attended by about 90 people.

Winners were Loretta Hartnell (tea set), Mary Gavin (salad bowl), and John Vandenbrand (door prize).

The money raised at the event ($786) will help pay for the cardiac heart monitor. The next major project will be a new X-ray machine.

Shamrock tea

The special decorations and table settings created a real Irish atmosphere at the Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary’s tea and bake sale Friday afternoon in the cafeteria. About 90 people enjoyed tea, coffee, sandwiches, and dainties while visiting with friends. Funds raised from this event will help pay for a new heart monitor.

Shamrock tea slated Friday

The Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a Shamrock tea and bake sale this Friday (March 13) from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in Emo hospital cafeteria.
