“Egg-stravaganza,” once again presented by the Fort Frances Kiwanis Club, will be held on Saturday, March 31 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Great Canadian Main Street (Scott Street). Pick up a map of the participating businesses at the Rainy Lake Square and then collect treats along the route (bring your own basket or bag). There also will be a barbecue lunch at the square ($4), along with prizes and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

The Fort Frances Lakers will face the Dryden Ice Dogs in Game 3 of SIJHL playoff semi-final series action on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. at IFK Arena. Game 4 will go Thursday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. at IFK Arena. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for kids 12 and under. Season passes not valid for playoff games, though seats are still reserved.

The LaVallee Fire & Emergency Service will hold its second-annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Saturday, April 21 at from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Devlin Community Hall. Knox United Church is hosting a performance by the Winnipeg Male Chorus on Sunday, April 22 at 2 p.m. The repertoire includes movie themes, songs of the sea and land, ballads, rock and roll, songs of faith, and classical numbers. Former Fort Frances resident Jack Cameron is a member of the 40-voice choir celebrating its 60th anniversary. Admission is a free-will offering in support of the Knox Renewal Fund.
