It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Sharon Lea Jolicoeur, 78, of Fort Frances, Ont., on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances.
Sharon was born on May 30, 1940 in Fort Frances to Agnes (nee Kerr) and Harvey Strain. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Jolicoeur, and together they raised their seven children.
Sharon loved to read books, go fishing, and cooking, and looked forward to watching sports on TV. Home was the happiest place for Sharon and she always looked forward to Christmas time, when everyone would get together at the family home.
She was the best listener and the most unselfish person. “Life was never about her, it was always about everyone else.”
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bob; children, Edie (Les), Kelly (Pauline), Mike (Dawn), Rob, Gary (Kendall), Harvey (Sherri), and Sandi (Jeff); 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Sharon also is survived by her siblings, Frank (Monique) Strain and Carole (Larry) Gilliland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Agnes and Harvey Strain; and in-laws, Ferdinand and Lucy Jolicoeur.
As per Sharon's wishes, a private family interment will take place in the spring at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
