ROZAN LOTTIE SHEARER

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Rozan Shearer on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at the age of 84.
Rozan was born Nov. 9, 1929 at Couchiching First Nation, Ont. to the late Charles and Ann Bruyere.
Rozan was well-known because of her employment at many familiar stores—Filmore’s Grocery, Wright Way, KDS Hardware, and The Place.
Rozan and Ted liked to travel. They travelled North America, went overseas, and spent many winters in Arizona.
During her husband’s fight with Alzheimer’s, Rozan was lucky enough to find kinship with Sadie Kowalchuck and her children, Linda and Mark.
She was loved and will be missed by her cousin and best friend, Loretta Foran and family, Greg (Randi) Foran, Laura Foran-­Ross (Mike), Nolan and Davis Ross, Michael Foran, and Katie and daughter, Arianna.
She also will be missed by her nieces, Janet (Brian) Lee and family, Sheena Henderson (Scott), Thane Henderson, Taylor Wilson (Justin) Maddox, and Keelie, Amanda Klassen (Dallas) and Brinna and Owen, and Heather Crowe and her dog, Bree; and nephew, Danny Boy (Shawne) Crowe and son, Brent.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Shearer; parents, Charles and Ann Bruyere; sisters, Margaret (Dan) Crowe and Alvina (George) McPherson; nieces, Jane Ann Baldwin and Mary Ellen Crowe; nephews, Gerald Crowe, Barry Baldwin, and Chuck McPherson.
A memorial service to celebrate Rozan’s life will be held Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, Ont., with Fr. Victor De Gagné officiating.
The honourary pallbearers will be all of Rozan’s family and friends.
