ROSE REASHORE

It is with great sorrow that the Reashore/Henderson families announce the passing of our beloved mother and Baba (Grandma and Great-Grandma) on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at the Atikokan General Hospital in Atikokan, Ont.

Rose was born to John and Mary Gresco/Gresko on May 16, 1939 on their farm near Sheho, Sask. She was the baby of eight children.

She moved to Atikokan in 1958 and married Gil Reashore. They had four children, Todd, Kyle, Avis, and Troy. After her divorce in 1971, Rose worked very hard to raise her family on her own; working at various jobs, including waitressing and cleaning. If Rose cleaned your house, you literally could eat off the floors.

Mom also was well-known in the community for her generosity and sense of humour. She moved from her house into Rivercrest Terrace Apts in 1993 in Atikokan, where she lived out the rest of her life.

Over the years, she enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, and socializing with her friends until the pain of her cardiovascular disease became too unbearable.

Mom is survived by her sister, Margaret Kolibaba; children, Todd Reashore (Brenda), Kyle Reashore, and Avis Henderson (Jeff); daughter-in-law, Maria Mendoza; grandchildren, Keith Henderson (Jacquie), Alacia Henderson (Mathew), Josh Reashore (Sarah), and Ashley Reashore; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Reashore, Averi Henderson, and George and Natilda Reashore.

She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, John & Mary; brothers, Bill, Steve, and Mat; sisters, Anne, Penny, and Veronica; her youngest son, Troy; and her son-in-law, Danny Henderson.

Due to work and family obligations, a service will be held on May 16, 2019.
