Robert Martin “Marty” Gadd passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at the General Hospital in Lethbridge, Alta. after a courageous battle with health problems.

Marty was born on June 13, 1956, the only child of Clarice and Bob Gadd.

He was raised in Crozier, Ont., where he attended school, and then graduated from Fort Frances High School.

Marty wore many hats. He was the youngest manager for Avco Finance at 18. He held office in Fort Frances, Atikokan, Manitouwadge, and Thunder Bay, later moving to Savona, B.C. to partner in a hotel.

He then moved to Salmon Arm, B.C., where he managed a restaurant called the Copper Kettle.

Finally settling in Lethbridge, Marty was a maintenance supervisor at the university, taking early retirement because of his health.

Marty leaves to mourn his wife, Vikki; daughter, Michell and husband, Jarom; son, Brad and friend, Marissa, and son, Cohen; grandsons, Ben and Nathen; mother, Clarice of Red Deer, Alta., and father, Bob of Crozier, Ont.

He also is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 in Lethbridge.
