It is with great sadness that the family of Reg Rogers announces his passing on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.
He leaves behind his wife, Carol Morrisseau; daughter, Michelle (Steve) and their children, Karmon, Kourtney, and Kane; stepdaughter, Darlene and her children, Jamie, Anthony, and Amber and great-grandchild, Payson; and stepson, Dale (Dawn) and their children, Martina, Malakai, Marcus, and Maverick.
He also is survived by his mother-in-law, Louise Morrisseau; sister, Lynne (Bruce) Hamilton; brother, Barry (Nora) Rogers; cousins, Terry (Mary Lou) Parks, Blair (Janis) Parks, Stella (Ed) Stromness, and Vera (Russ) Woods; in-laws, Richard, Harry (Joy), Elaine (Bob), Bugsy, Doug, Laura (Elmer), Pat, Sheldon (Andrea), Amanda (Leroy), and Bill; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Reg was predeceased by his father, Robert Edward Rogers; father-in-law, Harry Morrisseau Sr.; nephews, Barry Rogers Jr. and Ricky Morrisseau; aunt, Edna Falconer and uncle, Elmer Rogers; sister-in-law, Phyllis; nieces, Janell Morrisseau and Kelly Morrisseau; and best friend, Jack Cooper
Reg was born Dec. 26, 1947 in Fort Frances, Ont., where he lived all of his life. He worked at the local paper mill for most of his career, starting in 1975 and retiring on Sept. 1, 2009 after 34 years.
Reg enjoyed a quiet life, working, tinkering in the garage, listening to music, and watching his favourite sports, cheering on the Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Expos, and boxing.
He especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren.
At Reg’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held.
