RAEANNE BETHEL GODDING

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our precious little girl, Rae, on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018.

She passed suddenly in her sleep.

Rae was born in Ottawa, Ont. on Oct. 16, 2015 to Miranda (nee Miller) and Andrew Godding. She was the light of our lives and we will forever cherish our memories together.

Much-loved granddaughter to her grandparents, Denise and Bob Miller of Fort Frances, Ont.; grandparents, Lynn and Rick Godding of Ottawa, Ont.; and great-grandmothers, Corinne Godding of Ottawa, Ont. and Margaret Britt of Victoria, B.C.

She was loved immensely by her aunts and uncles, Heather and Allan Godding, Jessica and Nathan Miller, and Rachal and Douglas Godding.

Rae loved her cousins, Abby and Rylan Godding; she idolized them and eagerly anticipated playtime together. Rae also leaves behind a large extended family, both in Ottawa and Fort Frances.

She is greeted in Heaven by many great-grandparents, as well as numerous other special family members, and her dog, “Vicky.”

There always will be a special place in our hearts for her little best friends, Haley, and all of our daycare family.

She loved swimming and biking, just like her daddy, and thrived in the outdoors with her parents, especially at Hook Island.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Rideau Park United Church in Ottawa, with a reception to follow at the church.

In memoriam donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) at www.cheofoundation.com
