It is with great sadness that the family of Norma May Piotrowski announces her peaceful passing on Thursday, June 20, 2019 with family by her side.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1944 in Fort Frances and lived here most of her life. At the young age of 12, she met Carl Piotrowski; she may not have known it then but he was the love of her life.
They were married on Feb. 27, 1960 and they were inseparable for the next 59 years. She worked alongside him in all of their ventures.
Norma enjoyed reading, needlework and gardening but her true joy came from being with Carl and their family.
Norma will be greatly missed by her husband, Carl; children, Dawn (Jim) Andrews, John (Denise) Piotrowski and Susan (Rodney) Jones; grandchildren, Dillon (Lizzy) Andrews and Murphy (Connor) McIntosh, Sean (Keely) Piotrowski, Jessica (Ashley) Piotrowski, Amanda Beauregard and Jordan Gagne, John Giles and Christine Giles; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Finleigh, Zac and Thomas; sister, Sharron (Peter) Piotrowski; and brother, Mervin Thorton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother, Doris Tanner, and brother, Gary Tanner.
A celebration of Norma's life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29 in Fort Frances, Ont.
