MARGARET HAWTHORNE

Hawthorne, Margaret

It is with love and saddened hearts that we remember a life well-lived.
Margaret Hawthorne passed away quietly, at the age of 96, on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at the Rainy River Health Centre in Rainy River, Ont.
Her life began on Sept. 28 1920 in Winnipeg, Man., the eldest of four children.
Mom met the love of her life, Ken Hawthorne, in Winnipeg and they married on April 7, 1945. Shortly after, they moved to Rainy River, where she lived for 71 years.
Mom loved to knit, sew, and bake for her family and often was asked to bring her famous chocolate cake to family gatherings.

She is deeply loved and will be forever missed.

God looked around His garden,
And found an empty space,
He then looked down upon this earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you,
And lifted you to rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
