LORRAINE ELIZABETH POSTHUMUS (nee KAEMINGH)

(July 24, 1963-March 15, 2013)
Peacefully, at her home in Port Perry, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, March 15, 2013 at age 49, Lorraine Elizabeth Posthumus (nee Kaemingh), dearly loved wife of Terry Posthumus, passed away.
She was the loving mother of Theodore and his wife, Laura, and Justin, Kara, Nicholas, Karissa, Michael, Lara, Jayme, Elisse, and the late Cherie and Ezekiel.
She also was the beloved daughter of Henry and Thea Kaemingh, and dear sister of Arnold, Robert, Carolyn, Christine and Cheryl.
A service to celebrate her life was held in the Emmanuel Community Church, 1680 Reach Street in Port Perry on Tuesday, March 19.
Interment was at Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert.

God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be.
So he closed his arms
around you
And whispered, “Come to Me”
In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away.
Our hearts were truly broken,
You fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
Peacefully and free from pain,
We could not wish you back,
To suffer that again.

So keep your arms
around her, Lord,
And give her special care,
Make up for all she suffered,
That seemed to us unfair,
So many times we’ve
needed you,
So many times we’ve cried.
If love could have saved you,
You never would have died.
