KIM CLENDENNING

It is with great sadness that the family of Kimberly Lorraine Clendenning (Belluz) announces her unexpected passing on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017.

Kim was born on April 9, 1973 in Thunder Bay, Ont., then moved to the family farm in La Vallee, Ont., where she spent the majority of her childhood. A true city girl from the country.

As a young girl, Kim loved to figure skate and spend time outdoors with her family. She attended the Burriss and Cornerbrook elementary schools and graduated from Fort Frances High School. Kim then moved to London, Ont., where she completed her dental assistant program.

Before moving back to Fort Frances, she worked as a travel agent at Robert Q Services. Kim then had a successful career in the dental field and most recently, the office manager at Rainy Lake Family Dental with her work family.

On July 31, 2010 she married her love, Scott. She not only gained a wonderful husband but she also was blessed with four beautiful step-children. Scott and Kim were devoted parents to Hailey, Calie, Jake, and Jenna.

Some of Kim's best times were spent with her many close friends. She loved having fires in the Botsfords' backyard, boating with Hamiltons, being at the lake with the Belluz's and Burtons, Sunday dinners with the Popes, and evenings with the “Wine Girls.”

Kim loved her family with all of her heart. She had a special bond with her brothers and their children.

Everything Kim was involved with, she was very dedicated to, whether it was serving on the “Relay for Life” committee or volunteering for local hockey programs. Kim also had a way of connecting with every individual that was lucky to have known her.

With a kind heart and infectious smile, Kim could make every person feel special. She had an unmistakable gentle strength.

She will forever be remembered by her parents, Jim and Glenda Belluz; brother, Brad and niece, Jade; brother, Travis (Andrea) and niece, Olivia, nephew, Hunter, and Abigail and Carter; (stepchildren), Hailey, Calie, Jenna, and Jacob; her cousin, Christina, who was like a sister to her all of her life; boyfriend, Ted Scholten and his sons, Joshua and Jeremy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Kim also will be missed by her other family, Michael and Melissa Belluz, George Halverson, Shane and Gina Pope, and Jorja, Hannah, and Jill Kawulia.

Kim was predeceased by both sets of grandparents, Daniel and Dora Belluz and Spike and Vivian Cole; and her husband, Scott Clendenning.

Kim lived a life full of love and happiness, surrounded by many special people who adored her.

A mass celebrating Kim's life was held Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, Ont., with Fr. Alan Albao officiating.

The honourary paullbearers were Melissa Belluz, Gina Pope, Krista Ling, Char Bliss, Christine Ruppenstein, Jody Hamilton, Stephanie Botsford, Christa Gibson, Joanne Davis, Becky McClain, Ange Aucoin, Jackie Lampi-Hughes, and Christina Belluz.
