KARI LYNN BRIGHAM

Kari Lynn Brigham, 62, of Rainy River, Ont., peacefully passed away, with her family by her side, on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 at the Rainy River Health Centre.

Kari was born on Nov. 11, 1955 in Baudette, Mn. to Henry and Betty Lou Nordin.

She was united in marriage to Glen Brigham on Aug. 3, 1974 and together they raised their four children.

Kari was a friendly, jovial person and will be remembered for her many selfless gestures, her devotion for family, her community, and church, as well as her ever-lasting humour.

Kari was very active in the Knox United Church and the United Church Women.

Kari had many talents, including baking and decorating cakes, sewing, and crafting. She enjoyed many activities, including curling, baseball, spending time with her sisters and close friends, volunteering at the church, and talking on the phone.

She always was willing to help others in need, and the deep condolences and kindness shown by so many demonstrates to our family how much she was loved.

Kari will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Glen; children, Glen (Debbie), Jeff, Keshia (Kyle), and Branden (Jessica); and grandchildren, Noah and Myah.

She also is survived by her mother, Betty Lou; siblings, Kathie (Tim) Cullen, Debbie (Ralph) Armstrong, Janice (Danny) Armstrong, Tim (Michelle) Nordin, Sandy (Doug) Hartnell, Wayne (Lyndsay) Nordin, and Shannon Nordin (Steve Beyak); along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Henry Nordin; sister-in-law, Diane Nordin; father- and mother-in-law Milford and Mary Lou Brigham; and sister-in-law, Laura Lougheed.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. at the Knox United Church in Rainy River.

Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River at a later date.
