JUDITH ANN DESCHAMPS

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Ann Deschamps on Thursday, March 12, 2020 (in her 74th year), after battling heart conditions since childhood. With her effervescent personality and zest for life, she endured two open heart surgeries with courage, integrity and strength.

She so enjoyed many years of attending her “Birthday Club Dinners” displaying their tradition of using fine china, crystal and silverware, always such good fellowship and friendship. Judy had a green thumb and grew THE best tomatoes EVER! A tradition she learned from her Aunt Teresa. Therapy for Judy was making cabbage rolls, perogies and baking for her children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors.

She was a proud member of the Beta Xi Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and her sorority sisters were very special to her. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's League, as well as the Rainycrest Auxiliary and volunteered her time and efforts to their many fundraising events.

She enjoyed her travels to Anchorage, Alaska where she fished for salmon & witnessed the unique canning process with Garnet, Lori & in-laws. Summer fishing with Ryan & Erin was always a treat, especially with Ronnie cooking the shore lunch.

The “Car Club” offered her new-found friends & she thoroughly enjoyed their many gatherings. Quality time was spent golfing with her sister Donna, celebrating their milestones in Palm Spring, California, Manzanillo and Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and Savannah, Georgia.

Her all time favorite past time passion was playing a game of Scrabble with friends & family. Many hours were spent having fun & relaxing.

Left to cherish her memory, her dear, dependable husband Ron of 52 years; sons Garnet (Lori), Anchorage, Alaska; Ryan (Erin) of Fort Frances and unconditional loved grandchildren: Matthew, Morgan, Ryder and Colby, of which she was so proud of; sister Linda of Guelph; sister and best friend Donna (Gary); brothers-in-law Johnny, Bernard (Sharon) Deschamps; sisters-in-law Pam Pitman (Jim), Patti Guerton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by loving parents, John and Nellie Puchalski; brother Samuel; and sister-in-law Marlene Deschamps.

As per Judy's wishes, there will be no funeral or formal service. Cremation has taken place.

A gathering was being planned, but due to the (COVID-19) Coronavirus, a private family gathering will be held at a later date.

If you wish, donate to a charity of your choice or perform an act of kindness for someone else in her memory.

Judy's legacy: Love, Courage, Inspiration and Joy of Life, which was shared with family and friends.

Family is the root, friends are the blossoms.

Where there is love there is courage

Where there is courage there is peace

When there is peace you have God

When you have God you have everything
