His entire career was spent in the field of education. He touched many lives as a teacher and principal in Fort Frances and went on to become Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, and Director of Education.
He particularly enjoyed the last 10 years prior to retirement, assisting Cross Lake, Man. in setting up their own education system.
He loved travelling and we managed to visit every province and territory in Canada, 32 states, and 27 countries on five continents. John also spent many years volunteering with the elderly.
We loved him so much, and we hope to hold the message of his life forever in our hearts and minds.
