It is with profound sadness that the family of Inga Bazylewski announces her passing on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Inga was born on Aug. 6, 1924 in Kirkjubaerjarsokn, Iceland to Eric and Malfridur Johnson.
She was united in marriage to Harry Bazylewski on April 20, 1945. Together they settled down to raise a family. Inga was a dedicated homemaker and did everything she could to make sure her children and their families were looked after.
She also loved to craft and knit.
Once her children were on their own, she turned her eye to the community. She volunteered with the Salvation Army tirelessly, helping with many Christmas campaigns and various functions all year long.
She also was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She leaves behind her children, Fred (Charlene), Walter, Joyce (Alan), Doug (Kelly), Debbie, and Donna; son-in-law, Keith Munro; grandchildren, Michael, Stacy, Krista, Tina, Shantelle, Toby, Cory, Tabatha, Todd, Scott, Benjamin, and Matthew; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Irene Carol.
Inga was predeceased by her husband, Harry, on March 16, 1991; parents, Eric and Malfridur; daughters, Diane, Marion, and Betty Jean; son, Kenneth; and siblings, Marion, Nona, Blondie, Fusi, Kay, Hjorleifur, and Jake.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
The pallbearers will be Michael Bazylewski, Stacy Bazylewski, Toby Munro, Tyler Munro, Matthew Patenaude, and Lucas LeBlanc.
