HENRIETTE (HENRI) JOCELYN VERHOEF

Henri passed away peacefully, at the age of 51, on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.

She will be deeply missed by her sister and brother-in-law, Monique and Neil Ibey.

She was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Thea Verhoef.

Henri was born in Peterborough, Ont., grew up in Campbellford, Ont., and moved to Fort Frances in 1997.

She was an Ontario Land Surveyor and a Canada Lands Surveyor, and managed the survey offices in Dryden and Fort Frances.

Henri belonged to the Emo Christian Reformed Church. She also was a member of the Rainy River Valley Field Naturalists.

Henri was very grateful for the support and care she received at La Verendrye, her local hospital.

She would have encouraged people to consider supporting their own local hospitals, and her family asks you to consider sending a donation to the hospital of your choice in her memory.

Henri was an enthusiastic nature-lover, as well, so a donation to a nature organization of your choice also would have made her happy.

A celebration of life service was held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ont., with Pastor Ralph Fluit officiating.

If desired, im memoriam donations made to the Rainy Lake Conservancy or the Riverside Foundation for Health Care (La Verendrye Hospital) c/o Northridge Funeral Home, P.O. Box 89, Emo, Ont., P0W 1E0.
