GORDON HAWK

It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Hawk announce his sudden passing at the age of 52, on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in Int’l. Falls, MN.
Gordon was born on Sept. 21, 1951 in Emo, Ont., to John and Maggie Hawk. He was one of nine children.
Gordon was an active man and had worked in fishing, logging and carpentry. He had also attended night school to obtain his General Education Diploma.
Gordon enjoyed traveling, swimming, going for walks and hunting with his parents. He enjoyed playing games, especially with his children and grandchildren.
He leaves behind his children, Lorinda, Claudine, Tracy (George), Olivia (Ronald), Crystal and Russell; sisters, Annabelle Hawk (Terry Godin), Annie Hawk (Mike Shute), Betty Medicine, Lucy Copenace (Henry); brother, Bobby Medicine (Liza), as well as 19 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Sally (Pete) Cowley, Bella (John) Indian; brother, Dave Medicine Sr.; nephews, Kevin Lester Medicine, Leon Hawk, Dale LeRoy Medicine; and niece, Gail Copenace.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 from 5 p.m. at the Rainy River First Nation Gymnasium.
A traditional burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Rainy River First Nation Gymnasium with Elder Harry Windigo officiating.
The pallbearers will be George Sinclair, Glen Medicine, Chris Hawk, Kevin Godin, Dennis Copenace and Paul Hawk.
